Several media outlets cover Breakthrough Atlanta’s innovative programming

Breakthrough Atlanta was recently featured in several news stories, including one from 11Alive on how Breakthrough is inspiring the next generation of teachers through its teaching fellowship program. Watch the story here.

In this story, The Atlanta Voice covered Breakthrough Atlanta’s mission and summer programming, as well as a unique partnership with another nonprofit organization, 40 Mustard Seeds Foundation.

This summer, Breakthrough Atlanta partnered with the 40 Mustard Seeds Foundation, which was started several years ago by teenager Gabrielle Tobin with the mission of providing essential tools and tutoring for middle school students. Now a rising Lovett School senior, Gabrielle led a team of high school volunteers to implement an innovative math initiative with 7th graders who attended Breakthrough’s 6-week summer program hosted at the Lovett School. This team tutored Breakthrough students while also helping them to create peer-to-peer math tutoring videos that will be shared online. Through this partnership, Breakthrough students participated in a meaningful opportunity to create easily-accessible videos that can help students everywhere improve their math skills.
