Fund-A-Scholar 2022
Fund-A-Scholar is Breakthrough Atlanta’s annual fundraising event which raises critical funds for underserved students to attend our life-changing, year-round educational programs.
Since holding our inaugural Fund-A-Scholar event in 2016, proceeds have helped equip hundreds of students with the tools and resources to succeed in high school, college and beyond.
Fund-A-Scholar 2022 was a record-breaking year! Nearly 500 people attended and we raised more than $460K at the event. Funds raised surpassed any previous year’s event and exceeded last year’s total by nearly 20%.

THE FIRST
What it Means to be First
With the help of Fund-A-Scholar donors and other generous supporters, Breakthrough Atlanta has equipped thousands of scholars to go to college, and inspired hundreds of college students to pursue careers in education throughout its history. Many of these scholars and teaching fellows were—or will become—the first in their families to graduate from college. For them, college means much more than a degree; it’s a dream realized that offers hope and opportunity for generations to come, and it’s a dream realized thanks to your support.
