Volunteer to help our students achieve their college and career goals!

Currently, we have two opportunities to serve:

Breakthrough Atlanta Super Saturdays Volunteers

(Various Saturdays)

Caring and consistent volunteers are needed to provide group mentoring and academic enrichment to seventh through ninth grade students. (Training and lesson plans are provided.) Because effective mentoring requires relationship-building, interested volunteers must be able to serve for a minimum of three sessions between October 2019–March 2020.

Breakthrough Atlanta Student Interview Volunteers

Saturday, April 13th, 2019, 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

Help Breakthrough Atlanta select its new class of college-bound students! Your support is needed to facilitate group interview sessions with nearly 300 applicants to our six-year college prep program. Volunteers will serve in pairs, guiding groups of 10 students through discussions and team building activities that will help us select 150 talented youth to begin our program in June.

Volunteer Background Check Requirement

Interested volunteers must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a criminal history check. The cost of the criminal history check is $39 and is initially paid by the volunteer. Once a volunteer serves three times (within two years), then they are reimbursed for the cost of the criminal history check.
