UPDATE: 5-26-20
Breakthrough Atlanta is hosting a virtual program this summer due to COVID-19. We want to ensure that our students, faculty and staff remain safe. Even though state guidelines will allow summer camps to resume in July, we do not want to be among the first organizations to host in person gatherings. Instead, we will only meet virtually for the entirety of this summer, and gather best practices/lessons learned for keeping students safe in this new environment. We may resume in-person activities in the fall, but we will not make this determination until September.

We continue to monitor the recommendation of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the State of Georgia, the City of Atlanta, as well as our partner institutions – The Lovett School,  Atlanta Public Schools, Marietta City Schools, and others. The State of Georgia has issued a stay-at-home order in place through April 30th.

With the safety of our students, families and staff in mind, the Breakthrough office remains closed through April 30th. All in-person programs and services are suspended until then as well.

In the meantime, please know our staff continues their advising work with our students and their families and caregivers by phone, text, email, or other virtual communication. Please reach out to our team if you need anything at all. We are here to support you and help you stay on your path to college graduation.

We will keep you informed of any changes to our office schedule or to the programs and services we offer students and families. Again, please reach out to our team if you need anything at all.

Thank you sincerely,

The Breakthrough Atlanta Staff
